hey guys the Natale Law Office hasn't stopped yet. Just got an e mail from a lady in Camrose > sent her the phone number of Martin Ross and directed her to this site. Hope she realizes what she has and does not stress herself. I forgot to tell her to document any dealings with anyone she talks to so I tell her now.

It's pretty hard to argue your civil rights with a iQor, Inc formerly CBCL - Canadian Bonded Credit Limited - Now Iqor Collection Agency autodialler that calls you 6 times a day.

This is a good point / question Raymond.

I would be curious to know Consumer Protections official policy on these autodialler machines that constantly call.

I'm wondering if there are any legal precedences for this, or a letter from the Administer of the Collection Agency act in each province with an opinion of some sort.

I would appreciate it if we could get some feed back on this as well.

Has anybody complained about autodiallers to Consumer Protection? If so, what did they say?

(This is difficult because each province has slightly different legislation for collection agencies.)

When I asked if there was at least one other person out there who "had fun working with a collection agent and got that agent to work for them," I was asking for someone besides the person who made the statement in question to verify it.

The query remains the same; is there any blogger or person out there of sound mind who has had fun working with a collection agent and gotten him/her to work for them. So far we have hundreds of postings to the contrary on the forum. Can we get one, just one, just one miserable, just one miserable lonely downtrodden soul whose weary journey through the world was softened, brightened, alleviated, eased, succoured, relieved or assuaged one millionth of an ounce by a collection agent to write in?

After all, when one is struggling and parched through the desert [of life], circling buzzards never offer respite or comfort nor hope. When one sees the ominous and hideous black winged creatures circling overhead, he knows the end is near and his bones are going to be picked clean very soon.

Go back and read blogger Lisa Cohen's entries regarding her experience with Deanna Natale and company at TCR. Sure sounds like she had a lot of fun. Just like the flood of other bloggers writing in about her. A real party - if you like pity parties.

Hi Raymond,

My only experience with a collection agency was with D&A Collection Agency.

They were collecting on a phone bill that I legitimately didn't owe.
The phone company charged me for extra items that I never agreed to.

My first phone call after I got off the phone with them was to Consumer Protection here in Saskatchewan.

Consumer Protection told me to call back and ask if the agent calling was licensed. The agent that called me wasn't licensed.

I then reported that agent to Consumer Protection.

I then got on the phone with the manager of collections. I asked them to dig up my contract and any information they had on the account. I mentioned that I was dealing with Consumer Protection on the matter and that I would complain forever if I didn't get the proper service.

I dealt with the whole thing in a business like fashion. I never paid what they were asking, and I did eventually get the item removed from my credit report.

The point is that in a business like fashion, I asked questions of the collection agency, and got the responses I was looking for.

Collection agencies are in business to make money. Filling out complaint replies to the provincial government and the Better business bureau is not profitable for them.

Each time they receive a complaint from the provincial government, they MUST reply, other wise they could have their license revoked.

That's the leverage I used to get the D&A collection agency to work for me.

The goal is to not let the collection agency intimidate a person. A person who is well educated to the laws, and their rights won't be intimidated.

If you're that confident with your skills, then you can have fun with the collection agent and get them to work for you.

There's almost 1300 posts on this site and so far not one has "had fun with a collection agent and gotten them to work for them." But if such a person does exist somewhere on the planet, let them please, please, please write in to corroborate that fact.

Getting in a collection agent's face isn't designed to vent or have fun (although damn it, it is). And it may not stop someone from suing you who is going to, although, surprisingly, it often does that too. No, the reason for it is simple - it darn well works. It stops the telephone terrorism which is all it was really designed to do in the first place. As well, it's a lot quicker than writing letters and you save yourself a lot of stamps. It may even save your nerves - or your life, if your name is John E. Dowling. He knew his rights but letters didn't help him much with iQor, Inc formerly CBCL - Canadian Bonded Credit Limited - Now Iqor Collection Agency .

Gee, I thought points 2 and 3 were an encouragement to do just that, get right in their faces - or eardrums at least. "Tenderize the psychological tenderizers" as they say.

Hey Peabo,

I'll be honest, it's fun to scream at collection agents.

However, screaming is not going to get the debt paid , or items correctly removed from your credit report.

Screaming is good to help take the offence and not let the collection agent get the upper hand.

The business side of things means that you have to do your research, and be writing letters to the correct authorities in order to get things done.

The goal is to not let the collection agency intimidate a person. A person who is well educated to the laws, and their rights won't be intimidated.

If you're that confident with your skills, then you can have fun with the collection agent and get them to work for you.

Here's the thing to always remember... if you owe money with unsecured credit, you're in the drivers seat. Unless it's a big amount that you'll get sued and have judgement taken out against you.
