thank you...well thats good to know... i paid rogers cable the money they said i owed 3 years ago, then all of a sudden i get this from howard l waldmen rom global credit and collections in the mail saying that i owe them over $1,700. I will just ignore the letter an hope that nothing becomes of it

If you contact the 2 credit bureaus, they most definitely will NOT remove it for 6 years from the date of original default. Not even for Santa Claus. You shouldn't be giving people advice like this.

Then don't acknowledge the debt in any way or make a payment. Always reply "what debt?" Hang up or don't answer.

They've had their time to sue you and didn't. If it's showing up on your credit rating you can contact the credit bureau and ask them to remove it.

It has been past two years, actually it is just over three years now.

Ok well if it's past 2 years since you made a payment then screw them. If not then I would try to pay it. 800$ is not worth the trouble.

As long as you send them something (even a 1$ a month) They'll say/send this and that but 99% of the time they'll do nothing about court. It's just to scare you.

Just that TCR gave up and transfered the debt to another Collection Agency
