Should these notices not get posted to my credit file upon review in January 2014, what would be the suitable recommended timeline for making a new application for a CC to avoid too many credit inquiries? Should I wait another 2 - 3 years more to recover my points on file?

@Tripped_up... This could simply be a last ditch effort to collect on this debt (before it gets sold to a 3rd party). I say this because last week I recv'd three notices from two different agencies going after three different accounts with the same institution. These were debts that were defaulted on 8+ yrs back. They have fallen from my credit file, and I don't expect them to reappear - but as ZacksDad suggested, I'll be keeping an eye out for any abnormal postings and you'd be wise to do so too.
Infuriating one C/A at a time..

I would still keep an eye on your credit report though as the vultures are constantly trying new ways to sneak things on reports.

more notices received

Postby tripped_up » Sat Oct 26, 2013 07:27:13 PM

I had recently received another debt collection notice from this company and my credit file was cleared recently showing "no information reported" under credit history and/or banking information.
Does this mean another 7 year penalty notice on my credit file??
