The credit bureaus will report it for 6 years from the ORIGINAL default date, A payment within 2 years, or any time afterward for that matter, doesn't affect the reporting period, Ottawa Chap. Yes, the Credit Reporting Act of Saskatchewan does allow a 6 year period from the date of any last payment, [See below] but clearly, that would discourage people from settling their debts by creating an obvious negative incentive so the bureaus don't follow that.
