What should happen is people who come here for a better life and then take advantage of the system should be deported until such time as the debt to the people of this country is re paid in full. Including the cost of deportation and airfare.Just my opinion.

Why would you need to hire a lawyer for who knows how much for a debt that you said you were not trying to avoid paying. Clearly when you went to hospital you provided some kind of info for them to bill the Provincial health insurance. You knew or should have known you did not qualify yet but you let it go rather then paying the bill at the hospital directly. Now you look for an out. This is a major problem with our Immigration system. People try to take advantage. Now you want to owe more money for lawyers....wow...what am I missing.

Should me hire lawyer or should me represent myself my interests? What will be better in my case?
What about my baby will she be billed like me or she will have some benefits?

When debt is to government, no court order is required.
As I said before...contact them and try to make payment arrangements and at same time inquire as to how amount of bill was calculated.

Will it be court order to freeze my account? Will they give me chance to appeal, in case I do not agree with billed amount? Have you ever heard, how people dealing with medical debt?

I really don't think I misunderstood. Originally you indicated you missed out being able to have the free medical service by a couple mths since you moved.
First it is NOT free...the taxpayers of the province have paid into it for years unlike you.

Now that they want their money back they have several options...sue, or garnishee your wages or since it is the Government that the debt is owed they can simply freeze all your accounts.
My suggestion would be to contact them and try to work out a repayment agreement of so much a month.

So you came to this country already pregnant and expected your new home to pay your medical expences...is that what you are saying.
