WHAT IS YIELD?

In this materialized world every deed is performed to yield some materialized outcome. Irrespective of the profession, gender, age, every human being in this world anticipates that in whatever he/she relies on should generate some fortune. For instance a businessman or trader expects his investment to generate a colossal profit, a poor farmer would want his fields to produce a good crop, a Government proposes a budget anticipating that it should obtain substantial Gross Domestic Product (GDP) rate.

Yield is an important term in many of the fields like agriculture, business etc... In agriculture, crop yield is defined by the measure of production per unit area under cultivation and the seed generating capability of the plant. In business, yield is defined by the amount of cash that returns to the owner or the part of the income. When you make people realize that they are being recognized for their hard work, the outcome of that work will definitely be a success. Yield is a kind of recognition for one’s hard work because recognition fillips one’s confidence and gives encouragement to chase one’s dream; it is quite obvious that yield also does the same.

Apart from being an integral part of all fields and sectors, yield has another humble meaning within itself. It is nothing but surrendering oneself completely to someone. It is often misinterpreted cowardly act .Yes it is a shameful and cowardly act if a good yields to the demands hideous force. But throwing in the sponge for a good cause is a kind of strong weapon you can ever use for it will definitely melt the opponent’s heart no matter how hard it is. In today’s machine made life, where you can easily misunderstand your intimate ones, yielding to them by keeping aside all your egos, plays a key role in getting back their love.

Canada is no exception as the term ‘GDP’ plays a vital role in country’s growth. In the recent past the growth of mining, manufacturing and service sectors and yields in these sectors has transformed the country from rural economy into primarily industrial and urban one. Thanks to Canada’s high GDP, it has the lowest government debt among the G8 countries. In 1995, it ranked 2nd among G8 countries for having highest debt burden.
Being aware of Canada’s resilience, Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), has projected that debt burden of Canada will fall by 50% in near future. All these facts can be attributed to one word yield.

Canada has one of the strongest military forces in the world. After its participation in the 1st and the 2nd World Wars, Canada has decided to adhere to non violence. This decision was manifested when it declined to participate in the Iraq War despite maintaining full relations with Cuba. Canada is noted for maintaining intimate relations with Dutch. One fascinating thing is that every year Dutch give tulips to Canada, a symbol of Netherlands, reminiscing the Canadian contribution to its liberation.
