The main credit bureaus or credit reporting agencies in Canada are Equifax Canada and TransUnion Canada. They are the largest but by no means the only ones.
If you would like a full listing of the credit reporting agencies in your province, please contact your local Provincial Justice Department - either Corporations or Consumer Protection. They'll be able to list all of the credit bureaus for you.
You would be surprised who registers as credit bureaus. I've seen collection agencies and survelleince / (spy type) companies registered as credit reporting agencies. Anybody who needs a license to tell stuff about you will register as a credit bureau.
All provinces except New Brunswick have their own Credit Reporting Act or whatever the name of it is in your province. The province regulates the credit bureaus.
From my experience, most provinces aren't well versed in administering their credit bureau law. Not enough people are complaining about the problems that occur on a credit report yet. It's too new of a topic in Canada.
