Equifax Canada and TransUnion Canada want to see two credit cards / revolving credit items on your credit report before they'll start to give you a credit score.
If you have no credit items, the credit bureaus in Canada literally have nothing to report about you.
If you have no credit and you apply for credit, they'll start to show "INQUIRIES" about you on behalf of the creditors you applied to.
Creditors need to see some credit activity on your account in order to see what kind of credit risk you are. If you get two credit cards and have them for six months, this starts to give the credit bureaus an idea of your credit usage patterns.
Contact Equifax Canada and TransUnion Canada to see what they're reporting about you.
