@freedom

It is abundantly clear that you are very "WET BEHIND THE EARS" and haven't a clue what the Hell you are talking about. As DanielBl stated in his last post, I too am very "PISSED OFF" at Monty Loree for not only permitting but also encouraging FREE SPAMMING on this website. If I was a paid advertiser paying good money to Monty to advertise on this website only to be usurped by SPAMMERS who pay nothing to advertise their "wares" as often as they please, I would have pulled my paid advertising a long time ago. I've said it before and I'll say it again. I know of no other financial website on the Internet that not only permits or tolerates SPAMMING. but also encourages it. And, unless Monty, who is MISSING IN ACTION, decides to wake up and pay attention to what his better bloggers, such as DanielBl, TJbrooks and myself are telling him, then I can assure you that all of us will be saying "HASTA LA VISTA, MONTY, WE'RE OUTA HERE.

Why do you think that most of our better bloggers who have a wealth of knowledge and experience to contribute are no longer blogging on this website? It is unfortunate that they have left, but they too could not put up with all the "CRAP", er.................I mean SPAM that this website encourages.

And while I do not know the background of bloggers like DanielBl and TJbrooks, I can tell you that the information that they have provided is excellent as they know what they are talking about, unlike some other bloggers who come on this website and spew "VERBAL DIARRHEA".

Am I mad? MAD AS HELL. Do I need anger management training? I think not. Before I post on this website, I do my DUE DILIGENCE, meaning I do the necesasary research and background reading, if necessary, in order to provide a thoughtful and documented response to our many members questions, issues or concerns. And, if necessary, I am also prepared to provide CHAPTER AND VERSE to support my position.

And just what are my credentials for blogging on this website? Well, for starters, I am a Certified General Accountant ( CGA ) and a graduate of Ryerson University in Business Administration. I have worked for some of the largest companies in North America such as IBM, Massey-Ferguson, Canadian International Paper and Molson Industries. I operated a successful accounting, business consulting and tax practice in excess of over 30 years. And, to pass my knowledge and experience on to students, I was an adjunct Professor at 3 Ontario Community Colleges as well as at Ryerson University. And as a service to the CGA Association, I lectured extensively for their Taxation and Advanced Taxation programs.

I trust that with this background, I am qualified to post informed responses on this website. So don't tell me and other excellent bloggers such as DanielBl and TJbrooks that we need anger management training. What is needed is for the webmaster, Monty Loree, to pay attention to what the better bloggers are telling him. Need more evidence? Just ask "Average Joe" ( second highest blogger on this website ), "Raymond" and "LadyinCredit" why they are no longer blogging on this website. In fact, "LadyinCredit" has an extensive background in the credit industry and provided some very well researched and informed posts until Monty told her to GET LOST. I think you get the idea.

Maybe you should talk to other substantial contributors like Footloose who have packed it in and likely won't be coming back. Apparently, they needed anger management too. But hey, if you like Jonathanpaul and JeanKarla from Monty's cast of cyber characters, not too mention the Nigerian Connection posts, what can I say? Each to his own.

If you're going to host a information service forum, and not provide almost nothing beyond the host software to users, shouldn't the people who actually contribute information be paid? Why should someone who maintains only the software (and unreliable software at that) receive all the spam revenue? I'm not saying the owner shouldn't get some of it, but not all of it.

maybe you should seek out a forum for anger management, or complainers anonymous.

Let's see now....If it takes 5 seconds to delete each Nigeria post, that would be 2000 x 5 seconds... or about 23.8 minutes per year since the startup date of 2005. Yeah, you're right, that's way tooooooo much time - unless you want your advice from a Nigerian bus stop.

I've received a lot of very helpful advice from members of the forum and am grateful that Monty created it.

It is a free forum afterall, it would be very time consuming to have to monitor all the posts.

Test of what? Trying to cover the spam? You've got some people needing help. Why don't you do the right thing and sell the forum to someone who will? Everyone else has left, if you haven't noticed.

I have been settling debt for the past 6 years, I am at the end of my debt and am now cleaning up my credit - I have one collector showing on my credit - and I have no way of contacting - and I do not know who they represent.

I've contacted equifax and asked that this company verify this debt, equifax said that they verified the debt (over the phone).

I can't seem to find this company online or in the yellow pages - does anyone know of Ogilvie Acquisitions??

Also - when equifax requests that they verify the debt - does this not have to be in writting??

equifax is dreadful to deal with

Rather then writing out a page....please refer to footloose's post of aug/10/2010 where he so eliqently lays out the law as it pertains to debt validation. But please note that is US law....not Canadian. To my knowledge we do not have the same rquirements mandated here.
If we do please post a copy.
