"Luny"?

Here's a copy (not my words, thank you) from a site I just came from:

...someone who is on the forum keeping discussion going - NOTHING kills a...like having a dead forum. A visitor sees that and they simply close their browser.

We were all livening up this forum. You, too, Ray--that was you answering StevenC./AmosnAndy et al?

Raymond,
I'm going to add a private message area so you guys will be able to send each others details at your leisure.

With this transition phase, I'm having trouble keeping up with these requests..

BTW... if you've got each other's email addresses, you should be able to transfer po boxes etc...

(I've got a nasty migraine today from spending 10 hours yesterday fixing a million little details... )

I am liking the new host and the stability it brings.

hey Raymond,
I'm in the process of enhancing the registration , login, and user profile areas to better help people log in and post.

To be honest, I haven't worked on these pages in any detail before..

As I've spent a little time with them, I can see that they really need some work.

A little bit at a time.

"I guess they are still there. The posting[sic.] have died off... no one home???"

IMHO, you might want to have a look at the last week of posts by Steven C./ AmosnAndy, yourself and Boston and consider what kind of effect that would have on the site's target readership. I would consider them just short of "luny". Anyone else out there (besides you 3, or is it 5) agree or disagree?

I've tried yet again to get to any posts about ARC and get none.

I start at the Home Page, click on Blog, scan down and click on TRUTH ABOUT COLLECTION AGENCIES..to get a listing of the agencies, and in the DISCUSSION CATEGORIES I select ARC/Accounts Recovery.. then I come to a page that says there are 4 posts for ARC and 2 for Accounts Recovery. When I click on ARC it kicks back to the general postings and in fact 8 or more posts beigining on June 18th..none of which have anything to do with ARC.

getting frustrated with any attempts to find these posts after numerous tries all failing.

Monty print this out and follow the route I went and no doubt you will get the same result.

IF I am taking the wrong route, check to see what the right one is, douible check to ensure it is working then please give me SPECIFIC details on how to find these posts rather than simply a link to them.

thanks

Re: Joel Miskin letter.

Monty sent me your email address. For the 5th time, I told you that I couldn't send it via email or fax because it was illegible that way. I've tried several times already.

I offered to mail it to a p.o. box - and guess what - Monty sent me another email address. I can only say the same thing so many times.

hey advocate,
can you do me a favor and do some "test" posts for ARC?

I think I've got most of the bugs out of the system...

Try a test and we'll see how that goes.

Thanks.

Hello Monty

Postby advocate » Wed Jun 20, 2007 08:24:36 AM

Do you remember the 1960's song by Bob Linde..."Everybody's Gone to the Moon."

I guess they are still there. The posting have died off... no one home???

With regards to broken links, those mentioned by me over the past several days still are broken.

I am anxious to post some updates re ACCOUNTS RECOVERY CORPORATION but am reluctant till I see what has already be posted after my original post. The page listing Arc/Accounts Recovery says there are 4 posts under ARC but I can access any of them and would like to know what they are.

Another problem with links... on the home page, if you scan down to the list of all posters over the past many months and click on the hyperlink for many of the names..including my own..you get a list of the individual's post, but then clicking on many of these you get kicked back to the latest posts on the home page for all posters rather than the one you sought for the individual.

And finally, a few of my posts have disappeared from the last few days.

I know this switching of servers must be a nightmare for you... and glad I am not in your position trying to sort all this out...

But you have a zillion fans out here wishing you the best with your nightmare.

cheers
