Most Incompetent Reporting agency in Canada

They took 10 and half months to send me my personal credit report and it took the Canadian Privacy Commissioner to get it even though I sent 5 pcs. of id every time with it.

They still have not removed the wrong credit information from it and have been ask to prove I actually owe the debt which the company that is on the credit report can't put it on paper either showing proof of

owing it.

Then after much trouble I now get two credit reports one is correct but is not being reported by Equifax they are reporting the other one which they also have now sent me a copy of so now I have two totally different credit reports in my name one correct one not.
And guess which they are reporting to prospective creditors the old bogus one.

Their response to my constant requests was to send me another set of two credit reports saying the same thing the other two did but that is not the worst they went after the mortgage firm we were dealing with accusing them of wrong doing giving us the report which they didn't Equifax themselves gave it to us. They went animal on the broker his quote not mine with all kinds of threats and accusations of what they were going to do to him.

We now have turned over all this 6 and 1/2 inch file to the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Direct Quote from Equifax's Chief Privacy Officer was that they have no control over what the data center reports to anyone. Well if they don't have control over their own company then who does. Apparently they are a law unto themselves.

And don't bother to complain to the National Consumer Bureau as they are in their corner. They said they could investigate but could not make them comply.

Now don't you feel really safe with Equifax handling your most personal financial information.

I hope the Government shuts them down and does something for the all the people who have been wronged by them. I know some people think that Trans Union is hard to deal with but they explained to me why it took them so long to send me my report as they fix all the mistakes and sent letters to the creditors involved. If they can get it right what is the matter with Equifax
