I talked to VFC today and asked them to waive the interest fees for a defrral payment I got back in August 2008. I was flat out told no. They are going to keep charging me 14.75 % each month for a payment of $338.85 , I still have 54 payments left. How much money (%) am I going to be paying on the deferral payment ? I cannot believe that they can do this. 1 deffered payment of a measely $338 and its going to cost me thousands in the end ?

Any advice montey ?

In the last few months I have been exceptionally busy with programming etc. I believe I missed a payment with GMAC for my car.

I noticed that on my statement there was a surcharge for my payment being late. I grilled them about it, and there it is in the contract. I guess I agreed to them charging me late fees if my payment wasn't on time.

I called them up and asked them to credit me this late fee as I am a good person with stellar credit. I didn't think I had much of a chance, seeing that GMAC is a huge corporation and pretty impersonal.. They have the power to do what ever they way.

Anyway... I asked them to reverse the late fee on my account and low and behold ... They did.

On my next statement I noticed that there was a credit for the amount of the service charge.

I didn't think GMAC would do that, however I guess they did.

Over the years I've gotten the credit card companies, banks etc to reduce interest rates, credit back service charges etc.

You just have to ask!!
