hey guys, ok i tried that but the bank here said its gone and done and nothign they can do, so i called up the 800 number and talked directly to an agent in the collections dept at scotia, and she said its gone and passed to the collections...i asked who it was, and she said it was the natale group whatever, i said is there anyway i can do anything without going through them she said no, its all passed on to them now....so i talked to the guy (he honestly sounded nicer then anyone else i have heard about from this company) and we made arrangements for the payments, no extra just what i owe (kinda weird but whatever). question is, i am doing it monthly and i already have it started going, but i got a phone call from the same company saying they have a sub folder for my name now ? what the hell does that mean? i already have my second one taken care of, im paying 200 a month automatically taken out by the bank a month for 6 months to get rid of that card, and i dont have any other bills that are late enough to go to them.....does anyone know what this means ?

Absolutely NEVER deal with a collection agency, period. Flat out refuse. Once it goes to places like Natale, iQor, Inc formerly CBCL - Canadian Bonded Credit Limited - Now Iqor Collection Agency etc, you're already R9. Lump it, move on, and don't pay them a (edited for language) cent.
sue me, go ahead you useless (edited out for language)

Absolutely 100 percent never never never give any collection agency access to your account.

Go to your bank and talk to them. Talk to the branch manager if necessary. Make arrangements with them.

Next time you have issues, most credit card companies have a hardship program where they reduce payments and reduce or eliminate interest.

Have you contacted your bank directly? Your account manager at the bank? I would talk to them first about this entire situation before giving this guy any info, and if he calls back, tell him that you are in talks with Scotiabank directly and will advise him in writing of what you and Scotiabank agreed to.

It's just me, but I prefer to deal directly with the original creditor rather than collection agencies. When I owe money, I prefer that it gets paid directly to the company that I actually owe it to, not an 'agent'.

ok so this guy called back today, now he wants to know if i want to do weekly payments....first off i still havent recieved anything in the mail. Second off, he says that he needs my cheque info so they can take the money out directly every week, and thirdly he says if i want to pay more i can drop in to the CIBC bank and put money into their trust fund.....none of this is making sense to me. we are still going to contact the bank and set up an appointment considering its Bank of Nova scotia. Why is it that my Scotia Visa card is being payed to a company for collections that is in CIBC ? is this correct ? and i really dont feel comfortable about telling him this kind of info on my cheque over the phone, i mean, this means they can take more then 100 if they wanted to no ? can someone please get back to me on this, i am really getting worried as to where this is going. Any extra info and i can give it, i just need some feed back on this

ok im new to this site after looking this up, i recently have been contacted by this same firm and now im not sure what is going on. i was contacted about my banks VISA because we are at the limit and i have not paid in 10 months now because of my babies illness that we have to take care of and the government screwing my wife at the end of her maternity leave. we came into contact with the bank 2 or 3 months ago and said we shall be paying them real soon and will be doing it 100 bucks a week. Now i get this phone call from the law firm and they said i had till that day to get the money in....i talked to the guy and he said he'll give me an extra 48 hours. i tried calling today before i read any of this and i got no answer at 330pm...i owe on my scotiabank bill 2678 dollars and it says that on the online bill....he said i owe more then 3100! how the hell does that make sense......PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME AND LET ME KNOW WHATS GOING ON!! i need to know if i have to pay this or not, its driving me nuts!

EDIT: i have not recieved any mail from them as of yet, i got a message on my answering machine AFTER I already talked to them saying they were sending something. Also my wife and I talked it over, and we believe we should just go to the bank and tell them to take 100 dollars out of our account each week to pay it off....and if we can afford more, then we'll send more via online...is that worth doing ?

Monty, sorry for the late reply - I haven't been on in a few days. Go ahead with that press release, because as far as I can see so far the letter I received is fraudulent. If not then they should have been able to provide me with some details when I asked for them. If I learn otherwise I will certainly let you know. I really appreciate the help that you have been on this and the things you have been doing to try and bring about a public awareness on these guys.

Hey Brenda,

Sometimes collection agencies charge an interest fee which makes the amount more.

I question the fact that a collection agency charges you interest especially since you have no contract with them.

I'm sure that a diligent discovery process will help unveil the answers.

The creditor should be able to tell you what is going on.

"But my concern is.. how the hell did Natale find out my address, phone number and the problem that i had ????"

Elementary, my dear Miss Watson. It's all in her Tarrot Pack. Madame Natale knows more about you than Santa Claus but she's definitely no Mrs. Santa Claus.

I also recieved an e-mail from Natale Law Offices with a bogus draft.
I called the creditor in question and they told me that my account was not even with this office.
And the amount was also incorrect.. it was MORE than i owed.
It is not much mind you and it has already been dealt with.
But my concern is.. how the hell did Natale find out my address, phone number and the problem that i had ????
GOOGLE is a wonderful thing ! As soon as i entered "Natale Law Offices" I saw the press release and i was mortified !
Needless to say my lawyer has been alerted.
I also lodged a complaint with the Better Buisness Bureau via e-mail and have yet to hear back from them..sigh
That office needs to be shut down NOW and dealt with harshly by the law !
