Be careful with HBC. Hudson's Bay Company. They're not a bank. Their credit card is owned by their company with is regulated by the Consumer Protection Act. The HBC card is a charge card.

They are not regulated by the Bank Act or similar. I have found HBC quite prickly and hard to deal with because they're not highly regulated.

Call consumer protection to get some advice as to what guidelines HBC must abide by.

I keep getting call from a company that just won't leave their name , or a message of any kind.I know I am behind on my HBC but still make monthly payments. I have not received a letter of any kind saying it went into collections when I phone the # back (call display) they don't give any type of name they just say your call is important please hold today I was holding for about 10 minutes before I gave up. does anyone no who hbc hands it over to as an 800 number would be great!!!!!!!
