depends on where you are in canada........their offices are open to the public....if you have your paperwork (which I am assuiming you do) from your proposal then take it there and get this dealt with........not that it makes that much of a difference on your credit report........how long has this been on your credit report.....if it has been 6 years......then let it go.......its not going to harm your report anymore than the R7 from the proposal ......Collectcorp is the most unco-operative agency to deal with......they do not have some the brightest people working there......nor are they the most educated in collection laws or any laws for that matter.

Spinning My Wheels.....

Postby Maxie » Fri Feb 23, 2007 12:00:00 AM

Does anyone had a new approach to deal with CollectCorp. as after many months of negotiations I am getting nowhere and it is very frustrating. I have been bounced through 8-9 people at this point and now have a new rep.

I am trying to settle an account as part of a consumer proposal that I had success with back in June. They are my only hold out and I am totally unsure of who to believe at this point, the agency or the actual financial institution. I am trying to move forward and it is not happening with these folks.

I know I have done my due diligence with them logging and noting each conversation etc.

Advice more than welcomed as really frustrating situation.
