12 year old dept

I have a dept from 12 years ago I am wondering if Collection agency's can still phone and bug u about this dept. and what is the statue of limitations on the account in Ontario. Please help. The last time I dealt with them I offered a payment and I was refused for the amount i offered. now how do I manage this.
