Lately I've become interested in stock investing. I'll be honest.. I'm 47 years old and haven't been to university for many years. I'm not sure that I can learn something as complicated as stock investing. I need something to help me make more money than I'm currently making.

I've heard lots of stories of people losing their life savings investing in the stock market. ARe there programs that actually guarantee rates of returns? I'm completely skeptical about that. I wouldn't mind if there was something that helped me make a more intelligent decision, if that's possible.

I get a feeling that I'm in for vertical learning curve which ever way I go. Can anybody recommend any good stock trading programs?
