Royal Bank

-Just for the record: I have 3 children, at various stages of young adulthood, and after 23 years of dealing with the Royal Bank, have found them the WORST to deal with. However, just for the record,
they ARE the worst. You might have fun remembering for instance that right now a gentleman at the "Banking Ombudsmans' Office is being convinced of that due to letters I have just sent him about how Scotiabank dealt with insurance after my husband died suddenly
5 years ago. They hired lawyers, took 18 months but gave me the money and apologized; over 120,000; used some clauses in the insurance act about retro active. ROYAl, at the same time, took away a car, closed my 20 year account, etc. Last summer a former student of mine discovered that they had neglected to report the repayment 4 years ago: ALL rather than pay out 5000.00. Today, Scotiabank Hd Office typed out a timeline that went straight to OBSI; ie since Royal LOST a VISA application 2 months ago, among other things they sent out an UN signed letter from the Ombudsmans Office- and were called on it. Made a usual pile of horse manure still ignoring and saying they don't know what I want: I want loans at a reasonable rate, and a VISA card that I had until they screwed it up.
You might want, NEXT time, to send their letters (bet you didn't get it in writing) along with proof of income etc. to the Banking Ombudsmans Office . Sooner or later, they will get the message.
After all, a letter I mailed, I like to think, through my M.P. helped make sure they are not allowed to pretend that they are insurance agents whent they don't even know the laws about it!!
