A little under 3 years ago, I was being taken to court by Charles for a debt I had tried numerous numerous times to settle with him over the phone, until I finally gave up and hired a lawyer. It went to the mediation, with just my lawyer going, and the judge said it would have to go to trial, since nothing could be agreed upon. I never heard anything again, until today when my lawyer called me, said the trial had been set for today, which I was never notified and neither was my lawyer. So since there was never any paperwork proved to the judge that myself or my lawyer received the paperwork on the trial date, the judge ordered a continuance.

My question is, how can he do this almost 3 years later? I thought after the mediation, you only had a year to file the paperwork to set a trial.

Anyway, my lawyer is going to argue on the fact that they waited 3 years to bring this back up.

All I know is I can't stand this guy and I hope my lawyer can do something so I don't have to face this bastard, because I may end up in jail in contempt, if I have to.
