If this is happening in Ontario, the Registrar for the Ministry of Consumer Services has taken a stand and stated calls to cell phones are not permitted.

Canadian tire credit card got put over to MJR they offered me a one time payment of $1000 and they would close account they gave me 1 day to produce these funds,,,,,,numerious phone calls on cell (which i have asked not to call as it s for work ) as numerous calls on house phone dailey! Lots of hang ups,,did agree to make 100 payment biweekly then spoke with receptionist from credit councilling,,mjr has me at $3000 Bmo has me at $4000 they havent started bothering me yet! I have recieved a few letters ,got 1 today but it didnt state they were going to take legal action,,,,cant beleive how rude and ignorant these people are,,,was thinking of claiming bankruptcy but dont know where im going to come up with payment to pay ,,I questioned why mjr was teh only collection agency that refused to let me make payments on line,,only to find out they will but he was trying to go with other options( Mr Micheal Henry) i spoke to a supervisor who ws rude AHMED! i told him i would give $50 bi weekly thre my online banking but he wasnts assurety that im going to pay first so i agreed to send 5 post dated checks ,,i went to ask him a question he answered then said i something along the line i cant waste any more time with you we have work to do here i was suppose to call lastnight and tell him i mailed them ,but when i went to do the checks i had only 2 left and havent been to the bank,,what are my options here please help
