this is another interesting topic, getting cash back. Maybe I can get cash back from a trip to Thailand. How much cash back when I get if I spent $6000 on my credit card?

Under the charging hotels, airfare, food, sightseeing on my credit card and if I can get cash back that would be even better.

I forgot to talk about exchange rates. If I go to Thailand I will be spending in their currency which will then be converted to Canadian currency. Which is the best credit card's and has the best exchange rate between currencies?

Live each day as it was your first!

hi..

this is true because credit card holders don't want to be in trouble with rewards credit cards as it entail a high interest rate. with a cash back credit card, card holders are only charged with low interest rates. it won't be a big problem on the part of the card user if he/she won't be able to pay off the balance every month.

Moreover, card holders save more on cash backs and doesn't require much from the card holder. Just like the Capital One cash back cards, the card user only needs to save $15 worth of cash back on his/her account and will be allowed to use the cash back any time he/she wants.

the cash back can either be on a cheque sent to you or be added directly on your account and use it right away for any transaction like purchasing a merchandise or others.

this is an interesting article from RBC Bank.
It says that 33% of Canadians prefer cash back credit cards to make their purchases... The runners up were merchandise rewards at 27% and then travel rewards at 23%

This means that Canadians just want a good old plain discount on their purchases.

TORONTO, June 14 /CNW/ - One size does not fit all Canadians when it comes to credit card reward choices. A recent RBC poll shows that one-third (33 per cent) of Canadian cardholders prefer cash back over any other type of incentive, including merchandise (27 per cent) and travel rewards (23 per cent).

"While travel and merchandise rewards remain popular, many Canadians want a straightforward reward card that gives them cash back on everyday purchases," said Sean Amato-Gauci, vice-president, RBC Credit Cards. http://www.digitaljournal.com/pr/54757
