Have no less than One Credit Card for Emergencies- Having a credit card with a low interest rate is a good idea. You can also opt for cash back credit or best ravel rewards in Canada.
Understand the Terms and conditions. – The terms and conditions cuts through the propaganda and discloses the factual terms of the credit card such as what happens when you miss a payment and what you’re really getting from the rewards.

By no means, overlook a Payment- this is the absolute worst thing you can perform with a credit card. Not only will you acquire a late fee, but your interest rate will also skyrocket. Additionally it will be an off-putting mark on your credit report which can cause the rate on any other loans or credit cards you have to raise in addition to insurance rates. It also makes you less probable to get permitted for future credit.

Applying for a credit card has different aspects

You're at different stages with your credit
1) Brand new credit/ IE no credit score
2) New to Canada - Immigrated to Canada = have to start all over again.
3) Bad Credit - damaged because of late payments etc
4) Good Credit history
5) Excellent Credit history

Another question is: who can apply for credit?
Really, you can only not apply for credit if you're under 18 or you're not discharged from bankruptcy...

How can I apply for a credit card?
Online applications
Apply through the mail
Apply in the branch
Apply in a retail outlet.
