Hi JeanKarla,
This post isn't really about cash back credit cards....it's more about stocks and investing :)

It is interesting to see that General Motors is doing a cash back offers tax payers.

This is an update about cash backs I read on the internet today. I think this could be something worth sharing to all of you.

Report: GM to file soon for initial public stock offering

UPDATE: 7:40 ET: General Motors may have a "cash back" offer for taxpayers soon. Bloomberg News reports that GM will register its initial for public stock offering by August and that the sale, which would make it again a public company, could come by November.

A registration statement, known as an S1, filed to the Securities and Exchange Commission would outline the proposed offering and financial condition of the company. The SEC must OK it for the IPO to proceed, a process that usually takes 8-10 weeks.

Cash Back credit cards Canada

Isn't it great to purchase what you need and earn a portion of the value of your expenses back. Credit card offers rewards and cashbacks to their clients to get them to use their credit cards for their everyday purchase. Credit cards pose more financial risk than using cash, but with proper use, you can actually save some money from your card. The question is should you choose cashbacks or rewards program?

Cash Back credit cards Canada are the most straightforward rewards program credit cards offer. With cashbacks, you'll get a percentage of your money back or cash back. cashbacks offer lesser value than rewards points butthe advantage of this is that unlike rewards, you won't have to keep track of your points/miles in order to redeem your rewards. Plus cash can be used for anything. The advantage of cashbacks is that you can only use your cashbacks as soon as the bank released your checks.

With rewards from credit cards, you can get as much as 5% reward points on purchases especially if you use your card on participating stores. Rewards are more readily available than cashbacks, as soon as you saved up enough reward points, you can redeem your gift, the disadvantage of rewards is that the gifts can only be redeem on selected stores.

Whatever you choose, the most important thing to remember is that these programs are only available to those credit card users who doesn't have a balance on their card. So pay your bill on time in order to save some money on your credit card usage.
