My wife got a call first in regards to a debt with C.I.B.C. before she evn got a letter from AllainceOne. At this time the gentleman and my wife made an agrrement as to pay x amount of dollars a month until she finds another job, and she also told them that if we had any extra we would pay more. Well then the gentlemen said he weould send a letter verifying the agreement. Well the letter came and it had no amounts agreed to so my wife did not think of it as being a problem. Well then the calls start coming day in and day out saying that the agrred amount was not enough. When my wife told them about the agreement they then said that the gentlemen doesnt work their anymore and that the agreement did noit suffcice to them. They even suggested to me when my wife was to upset to talk to them that i go get a loan to pay off the debt. I cannot get a loan as I am at the very top of my borrowing capacity and with my wife unemployed together we still cannot get a loan. So the call have kept coming and when we speak to them they are very demanding rude and very ignorant. Well tonight my wife spoke to them and they told us if we do not pay the full amount right away they would take further steps to collect it. What is our rights and what can we do to stop them from being so rude and harassing.
