according to what you're saying we're credit users .. we carry a balance each month.. interesting to know.. i guess the goal is to become convenience users - from which we're a long way off
i think it would take us at least 5 years to pay off our credit cards

oh well live and learn

i just want to low my interest rates so that I can pay more principal and pay less interest
Tea & Internet = Fun!

Bebiesean,
There are a few reasons for using a credit card if you don't carry a balance.
I call these convenience users... they're people who use their credit cards and don't carry cash with them..

Some examples:
1) Purchasing items over the internet.. it's hard to use cash, especially if you're dealing with a foreign country.
2) Not wanting to carry cash - it's easier to carry a small credit card in your wallet.
3) Collecting rewards points from credit card companies... if they're offering them, why not collect them.. it just adds more benefits to your pockets.
4) Insurances offered - some credit cards offer purchase/travel insurance/auto insurance on things that are purchased.

Personally, I use my credit card all the time... I buy software, services for my business online each month... I couldn't operate this business without my credit card... and I like to collect rewards points each month!!

Why use a credit card if you're not gonna carry a balance?

When I first started shopping around for a credit card, I thought to use it for emergency purposes. I was so new with credit cards that I was really clueless with low-interest and rewards program available out there.

So why carry acredit card if you don't have a balance? Well, why not? You can use your credit card to get points and rewards you can use for cashback, travels, gas or groceries. there are so many rewards programs available for various credit cards. Why not use your credit card to accumulate rewards, you don't really have to pay extra. Most credit cards even provide extended warranty as extra benefits from your credit cards.

Just make sure you pay your bills on time and you'll be sure to reap all the benefits your credit card offers.
