How to qualify
To qualify for the Capital One Cash Back Guaranteed Mastercard for Gas and Groceries, you need to be a resident of AB, BC, MB, NB, NL, NS, ON, PE, or SK. NOTE: This card is NOT available to residents of QC, NT, NU, or YT.

You should NOT have an existing Capital One account and did not apply for a Capital One account within the last 65 days or have a Capital One account that is not in good standing within the last 12 months before applying.

A minimum of $75 security fund might be required before you get your card. You can send it by cheque or money order but please remember not to send a post-dated check or cash. The $75 security fund is refundable when you close the account, so long as ypu don't have any debts left on the card. Otherwise, the debt will be deducted from the $75 and whatever is left will be sent back to you.
