You Canadians have different words for everything. That kind of reminds me of Steve Martin's bit about the french... Steve Martin said... "Those French are kind of a weird bunch... I have a tough time trying to figure them out!! They have a different word for everything!!"
What the heck is a Nova and a Scotia? These are not american words in the least. Nova Scotia sounds like Jacques Cartier or Giovanni Caboto - John Cabot. When I hear the words Nova Scotia, I think of Viking Explorers and nasty guys with long blond hair and clubs coming over from Norway in the early 1500's. I just looked up the french version of Nova Scotia - La Nouvelle-?cosse. That's even more weird. I guess the main part is that they have a bank there and it's called the Bank of Nova Scotia, or ScotiaBank.
