TD Visa

I had a credit card with TD Visa. About 10-12 months ago I sent them a letter requesting they remove any optional programs such as credit protect or insurance etc that may be on my car. Instead of removing these they cancelled my credit card and reported it to the credit reporting agency as cancelled by subscriber (me). I continued to make payments and ran into hard times which resulted in the payments stopping. I am three months behind and TD Visa has sent my credit to Total Credit Recovery. I have been contacted a number of times but am scared to say something wrong. I have two other active cards with MasterCard that I use and pay off regularly. Currently I owe about $4100.00 to TD Visa.

My issue is that I work for a company and make very little money and the money I do make needs to support myself, my partner, the household and the kids. I simply cannot afforid to pay off this debt but interest keeps racking up and I am struggling.

What do I do? What are the options I have to make restitution, do what I can to save my credit, and still continue to take care of my family and other responsibilities?

What traps do I want to look out for? I haven’t heard anything good about Total Credit Recovery…

Thanks
