Telus and Collections....so confused

Please, if anyone can suggest what I should do...
I canceled my account with Telus, and had to pay the penalty for withdrawing from my contract early...Telus told me in January that I had until May 01, 2010 to pay my bill. I called them today for an updated bill and they told me that I have been sent to CBB collections on Feb. 28th, and that there account department would not speak to me because I was already at collections. I got the phone number of CBB from them. I phoned CBB, and was told that Telus submitted and took my account back from them on Mar. 01, 2010 (there file on me is closed). Telus won't talk to me, and the collection agency's file is closed. Who do I contact now????
