Rogers loves to screw with you Story my friend in Toronto ran into same trouble you had with Rogers. after 2 years ago However she hired a lawyer the only thing that helped her was someone at Rogers actually sent her a letter explaining the new payment arrangement and so when the Supervisor tried to pull on her what he did to you she told them see you in court. When it got to court her lawyer showed the judge this new letter from Rogers and after some uncomfrotable moments from the Rogers lawyers the matter was settled in my friends favour. She got her credit report fixed she got her legal fees paid and a monetary settlement

rogers making deals and doing the opposite

Hi everyone!
Here is my problem with Rogers wireless, I was injured at work and fell behind, I called Rogers customer service, informed them of my situation and worked out a repayment plan that both of us could live with. (An accordance of satisfaction if you will). I also informed Rogers that with my new job I need a cell phone but their coverage does not include where I now travel and canceled my Rogers account. (My contract had expired with Rogers and I was on a month to month service agreement at the time) Over the next few months I in fact paid triple the amount of payment that was agreed to with the understanding this would not be reported to the credit bureau or effect my credit in anyway. A few months later I received a letter from their collections department! I called Rogers right away, they told me "Oh we're sorry, that should never have happened I see we have an agreement here we will take care of this" A month later I got a letter now from the legal department! Rogers reported they wrote off my account (R9) and the balance was 500% higher than it actually is! So...I called Rogers, the supervisor told me that whomever made that deal with you did not have the authority to make that kind of deal and it is what it is. He then referred me to my original contract which states you can't cancel early, and payment in full yada yada yada. I explained to him that I was not under contract, and even if I was your customer service negotiated a new contract making the old one void anyway, and if your employees are not allowed to make deals with customers why do they? He told me because that is the only way we can get any money. I told him that's bargaining in bad faith, fraud, reckless intentional conduct and against the f.c.r.a. (fair credit reporting act). Shortly after that he hung up. So now the big surprise- I have the whole thing on tape! So now I want to go after them legally so I am looking for someone who has a similar story who would be willing to team up to teach Rogers that they can't do this and get away with whatever they want nonchalantly without repercussions.
