Hi I fall under category called R9 (Bad debt; placed for collection; moved without giving a new address or bankruptcy)

I had to move out of Canada due to my mothers illness. Its been over 4 years since I moved out & wasn't in a position to either file for bankruptcy or even debt settlement since I wasn't in Canada. I want to now return to Canada, want to know what are my options? Can I restart my credit ratings since records are little old and may have purged with credit agency?

If anyone has been in similar situation, please advice
