JoeMoney,

I would keep that to yourself and don't be proud that you have been a bill collector for the past twelve years. If you have so much experience then you should reply people in a polite way instead of being rude on here to show that bill collectors are not idiots like yourself. I have no use for bill collectors (parasites) because they make a living off people's hardships and on top of that you want to insult people every time you call them and you expect them to give you their money. I wish people would wake up and send in their settlement offers directly to the creditor instead of the collection agencies.

Dear robo68cop,

I think your an idot for thinking that they worked out terms wiht you. I have worked in collections for the past 12 years and know that this is standard. If you state that a payment has been made they ask you for proof, when you given them proof they will send you a document stating they want nothing to do with you and everything has been cleared up. Just because you recored a call that does not mean anything, they recored all calls aswell you idiot! and also it is known that no one in collections gives a you a apology letter, keep dreaming.

2nd they dont have to follow any of your demands. So you requesting 21 days to respond dosnt mean anything. I saw your profile robo68cop on magafriends, what type of secret afiar are you looking for??? I like funny people with a quirky side seems like just my type. Yum Yum ;)

If you paid your bill to begin wiht im sure they wouldnt have any reason to call you. Dont get tooo pissed off, your next step should be just provide proof.

Yours truly a collector.

IQOR Afraid of me

Postby robo68cop » Tue Jan 12, 2010 03:11:01 PM

Just thought I would join in the discussion. I have been fighting with these people for two months. The guy (ELMO) was nice at first but then once I told him that I don't owe the money he began to be ignorant and finally called me a liar after asking him four times to give me his supervisors contact info. I phoned him back but first I did a few things. I hooked up the mic on my computer and opened sound recorder. I then notified the new gentleman on the phone (his name is Sam Ahmed and his direct line is 519-620-6379 or toll free 1-866-601-0030 and his fax is 1-866-637-7783) that I was recording the conversation. WOW!!! What a difference in the way I was spoken to! I notified him that I had legal advice and that I also had a final bill with the payment already processed from six months ago. I also had the lawyers notes that stated the bill was paid and should never have gone to collections. I am armed with all this information and the guy still tells me that I may receive some phone calls regarding this bill. So here is what I am going to do. I am faxing them the copy of the FINAL bill, with a letter demanding an apology from the guy who called me a liar as well I am requesting that any further correspondence is to be in writing and that they have 21 days from the receipt of my information to provide me with documentation that states my clearance from their company. And guess what? He agreed to all of this ON TAPE!!!!! WOOHOO!!!!!! I hate the fact that I have had to go through all of this but in the end I think I have finally shown that they can't always bully people around. My next step is a big one. I have the number for my local member of parliament and I think I'm going to give him a call. Squeaky wheel gets the grease and all. And the step after that? Do you know that you can introduce discussion topics for house of commons members through you MPP? GI JANE had a good line in it - I like pissed off!
