Did you find a hard time making her out? I don't think they invest too much money in customers reps.I believe the updating department is big because one time I was told they received 4000 faxes a day.

I didn't at first but I'm actually employing their own tactics on them so I sent them a copy of the form 7 filled out that I plan to file as a warning shot and it was included in my supporting documents. Since then they just shut down as soon as they realize it is me calling them. I kind of like the role reversal where I'm actually hounding the collection agency.

Just called Equifax to get a better recording. The girl who I've had to deal with several times recognized my voice (I think their staff is tiny as I get the same person 90% of the time) and she claimed the system was down and that I had to call back later.

I would have kept the recordings to yourself. If you’re in a two party conversation you do not need to let them know.

Yes. It was easier than digging out the old 80s boombox that still had a tape recorder. You just plug the device between the phone and your handset (pretty obvious how) and then the audio din into the Mic or Line-In on your computer. The sound card (maybe even Windows) comes with an app that will then record anything.

I'm going to call Equifax either today or tomorrow and get one more of them because I don't like the one I have but I'm quite happy with the ones I have from IQOR. I wish I had the first two where they freaked out and yelled at me but since they know I'm recording stuff now they just refuse to talk to me. I'm suing IQOR and still on the fence about suing Equifax but I figure I should get everything documented just in case I decide to.

I agree on the phone recording.

I got this one http://www.thesource.ca/estore/product.aspx?language=en-CA&catalog=Online&category=Recorders&product=4318237 it is cheap $25 and works great. You can plug it into any computer or a traditional tape recorder. I think even some IPODs have a mic in.

I have some fairly damning recordings from IQOR and from Equifax. It has been a real eye-opener for me. I have always been of the opinion that collection agencies are horrible but that it was somewhat understandable since 99% of the people they deal with are deadbeats. I assumed that people who were legitimately screwed over would have a way to get things fixed and that isn't the case at all. The system is a complete joke.

I don't think anything can be done to her. I bet there has been hundreds or thousands of complaints lodged against her and she is still in business. The problem is the government needs make changes and till then the collection agencies will get away with everything. The only good advice I can give someone; if you’re going to call a collection agency for the first time, get yourself a tape recorder and record your call without their knowledge. I also advice that if your not happy with the collection agency send a letter to the creditor stating you refuse to settle your debt with the collection agency and are willing to settle directly with them.

I'm friends with two Benchers and they won't take well to the practices she employs. Assuming the rest are of like mind I'd expect a high four-digit / low five digit fine and maybe even a three month suspension. Unfortunately being a lawyer is just for marketing purposes and not really useful in the practical operation of a collection agency so the Law Society has no real power over her. Even if they boot her out (which they won't) it doesn't change anything.

Also her mommy use to be a Liberal MP -- not sure if she still is. Not sure how that could be used as a weapon but I figured it was worth mentioning in case someone more creative can think of something.

I just got one too, about a nine year old default on a credit card. I wish upon Deanna Natale, LLB (Little Lying Bitch), the circumstances which put me there.

I would NEVER wish this on a human being. I guess the bitch doesn't fall far from the thieving Liberal person of a mother she has.

First, I never received it. Prove I did bitch, it wasn't sent registered mail. If you don't get it registered mail, then it didn't arrive.

Next, don't dignify it with a response. But if you do, be sure to tell it that you will wait to settle until the outcome of its ongoing Disciplinary Hearing with the Law Society of Upper Canada. I requested and received the following information from them:

"Your request for current and past discipline regarding Deanna Natale was forwarded to Regulatory Inquiries for response.

According to our records, Ms. Natale does not have a past discipline history, however, she is currently the subject of disciplinary proceedings with respect to Notice of Application LCN36/09. The particulars of the professional misconduct allegations are as follows:

she failed to act with integrity and good faith and encourage respect for the administration of justice in the manner by which she used demand letters and draft statements of claim as part of her debt collection activities, in breach of Rules 4.01(6), 4.06(1) of the Rules of Professional Conduct;

she failed to assume complete professional responsibility for your practice and failed to directly and effectively supervise the staff of her law office to whom collection activities were delegated, in breach of Rule 5.01(2)of the Rules of Professional Conduct.

This matter is ongoing, with a Pre-Hearing Conference scheduled for January 18, 2010, and a Proceedings Management Conference scheduled for February 8, 2010. If you would like a copy of the Notice of Application, you can contact the Tribunals office at the Law Society at (416) 947-5249. If you would like make a complaint against Ms. Natale, you can contact our Complaints Services at (416) 947-3310 or toll-free at 1-800-268-7568.

We trust this information is useful to you."

And I trust this information is useful to all of you.

One other piece of useful information, never declare war on an Irishman without a damned good reason 8^) Especially if you are the demon seed of some Hungarian DP and married to a no-account Guinea. It ain't even a fair fight!
