My policy about paying off your debts is this:
If you owe the money and you agreed to pay it back, you need to pay it back.

My policy about rogue collection agencies
I don't agree with having to deal with collection agencies unless you agreed to it in the contract. There is no law that says you have to deal with collection agencies.

I'm encouraging people to know your rights, and don't sit idly by if you get a call from a collection agency. Knowledge is power, and you have more power than you think when dealing with collection agencies.
