Of course i have done that but i'd like to know if there is somewhere i can report this company for falsifying information like that. Its quite annoying to constantly have to monitor my credit reports to see if they do it again. I've been searching online to find out if we have some law or legislation against this in writing but can't find a thing. Any help would be appreciated.

I would go right back to Equifax and have it removed again. I would let Equifax know that they removed your item legally last time and AKTIV CAPITAL decided to put it back on illegaly. The credit bureaus are aware of these tactics and they seem to not care. The only thing they care about is getting money from the creditors.

Aktiv Kap reposted an old collection back on my Credit report!

Postby krishka » Sun Oct 11, 2009 02:39:44 PM

Started to rebuild my credit and its bringing vultures out of the woodwork for me. Case in point, Aktiv Kapital. They owned the only remaining collection on my credit report, date of last activity was May 2003 it fell off this year May 2009 and POOF Aktiv Kap put it back on this month changing the date of last activity to April 2004. Is this not illegal? Is there any recourse i can take with them like filing a complaint or having them fined for false information would be nice. I'm fed up with them as they have changed the date before earlier this year and i had Equifax fix it (provided proof of previous credit reports showing the date of last activity) but now this is ridiculous posting it back on my report after it fell off. PLEASE HELP!
