anthony parker: That's an interesting question

I would ask the regulator of traffic tickets what's the statute of limitation, if any on outstanding parking tickets.

I have a problem with the government hiring collection agencies, especially with parking tickets... To me there is a big gap in the law, especially the Privacy Law.. Privacy Commission when it comes to that.

You did not authorize the government to give your private information to the collection agency.. And there is NO legal precedent on this.

I would recommend that you start writing letters to the Federal privacy commission, consumer protection... (maybe just call them first to get an idea about your rights)

Writing letters of complaint to the authorities usually gets you out of the loop.
