Does it say if the original judgment was done 1991, because after the short sale the deficiency judgments are usually done within six months or less? Does the judgment say it was done by the lawyer you mentioned the other day? How can it be stamped May 20, 2009 when were still in April, something don’t sound right. Here is an example of a judgment I had filed against me. The judgment was awarded on February 9th 2007 and lawyer registered it with the registry in my province on February 20th 2007.The creditor registered it for ten years till February/2017.If I don’t settle this debt by then, they have the option to renew it for another ten years. I believe they can renew judgments 6 years at a time also. If yours has been registered for six years it sounds like this judgment might be on its last term and it will expire for good in May/2016.I was thinking your judgment should be done in 2012 or 2013 at the latest. I would investigate and see if they were renewing the judgment every six years starting in 1991 and there after on time.
