They probably want to see if you have any assets so they can attach the amount to the assets.

I just received a letter of the Gouvernement of Quebec saying they they asked Equifax Canada for my records. Why would they be doing this?
I owe them money but I am also protesting the amount.
I think they want the shirt off my back. No matter how much I give it is never enough
