collectorinrage..I didnt make the law, but i sure know my way around it, and it will be a hell of a long time before someone loses there license for saying there an old friend of debtor 1

Yep... that's why we need to complain more to consumer protection in writing... this is why this is important.. because it makes collectors have to answer to stuff like this.

Anybody who doesn't complain in writing to consumer protection is going to be up against collectors like this.

I don't care about the R9, can you get me the 10% settlements I need or not. If someone like you that have been profiting off peoples hardships for the past six years should be able to give me the in sight, on how I can get these settlements.

if i told you my name was sailor moon and handing you a chq for $3000 you wouldnt really care

Its the fact that these people owe money that they are looking for evey loop hole in the book because they think by generating a complaint they will somehow get out of paying... When in turn they are post poning the paymnt process and acruing more intrest to there accnts....

I didnt make the law, but i sure know my way around it, and it will be a hell of a long time before someone loses there license for saying there an old friend of debtor 1

go pay a consumer proposal company to get you a %10 sif on your accnts and then have the r9's on your bureau for 6 years unless they decide to reopen your accnt as a purchase and then make another inquiry and have there for as long as the agency is collecting it

Collectorinrage, based on some of the deceptive collection and skip tracing tactics readers of this site deal with, I think you are probably talking to the wrong audience...

For example, a skip tracer saying (and I quote you): "I'm an old friend of so and so and im coming to town to see them.... Do you know how i can get ahold of them?"

That is deceptive and misleading.

Honestly.. When i say MOST i mean like %90 of the time that is what they are told to say.... Id say the other %8 is saying there is a legal matter pending I need to reach them Imediatlely.... There have been cases when people are saying..."IM an old friend of so and so and im coming to town to see them.... Do you know how i can get ahold of them?" The bottom line is, the people we are looking for signed an agreement stating that if there was a change in address or phone number they are legally obligated to inform the creditor.... So, in the end, they have to deal with what ever means the tracers go by to get ahold of the person

Collector,

You said that "Most of the time they are saying that they have something they need to send to them, do you know how to contact this person. "

"Most" being the keyword here... it seems like this skiptracer got caught doing something they shouldn't be doing, otherwise they wouldnt be dealing with a fraud claim.

Does anyone know what the full details are of this fraud charge?

Maybe Dianna Holden can shed some light on it, all her post says is "THE PEOPLE LOCATING AGENCY REPRESENTATIVE MISLED THE INDIVIDUAL AS TO THE TRUE NATURE AS TO WHY THEY WANTED THE INDIVIDUALS CONTACT INFORMATION."

The turn over rate for collectors is crazy and i am very confident that i would have a new job the same day i got laid off.... There are so many agencies out there and most of them give every one a shot with out experience for anyone who is looking for a job..... but to answer your question.. yes i am confident i would be easily hired

two questions collectorinrage...

1) do you have 3-6 months cash reserves in place?
2) do you carry credit card debt?

If that's the case... what happens if you get laid off from your job?

Will you be able to jump into a new job right away?
