Communication with debtor

A collector must not continue to communicate with a debtor except in writing, if the debtor has notified the collector to communicate in writing only, and has provided a mailing address at which the debtor may be contacted

For example: This is to direct you to communicate with me in writing only at the following email address:

I recommend that you put this notification in writing to the collection agency and the creditor in a manner that would provide proof that this action has taken place. This could include fax with confirmation, email with confirmation, registered mail, or a cc of your email to the Mainland British Columbia Better Business Bureau. Be sure to keep a copy of the letter for your records. Fax Wiggins at 604-530-4977as faxing is the most efficient method of contact ensuring that you keep a copy of the fax confirmation allowing 4 to 5 business days for the business to process your information. If the calls do not stop, you can file a complaint with The BBB, or here: http://www.consumerprotectionbc.ca/

More than an annoyance

Postby transcanada » Sat Oct 25, 2008 03:17:31 PM

I own my own company and several times a day I get an automated system call. We have had this number for not even two months. I have tried calling, faxing and still they call.

Anyone come across any other contact information to get through to these idiots, they have become more than an annoyance....
