I called CIBC on behalf of a client. CIBC rated the client's account L9 for a $12 oversight. Now CIBC won't budge and fix his credit as a customer service.
This is outrageous.. CIBC even sent this $12 amount to D&A Collections who messed up the reporting on the client's TransUnion report. Now the client is having problems getting credit because of these issues. All this for a $12 misunderstanding with the bank. You'd think that the bank could find a little kindness.
Once again, the R9 rating system is not regulated in Canada.
Don't let your payments go past six months as CIBC won't fix them or help you out in any fashion.
