re- frustrated and lost

Postby Very Confused » Mon Aug 08, 2005 12:00:00 AM

I recently paid visa their entire amount because it was court ordered. I now have this person (that called during the day) my present employer but I work 11pm - 7am they left a telephone number in which I am to contact them. Is there any way through this site or through a free site to find out who owns this number?. I am not comfortable with my boss receiving this telephone number or having it passed through the switchboard. I have some questions in regards to this.

1. Can they call your work and leave their telephone message with co-workers?
2. how often can they contact your work. What is their next step if I do not contact them?
3. If they decide to take it to court do they have to notify you before beginning that proceedure
4. Can they refuse an offer or 5% of your earnings if that is all you can afford
5. What can I offer as a repayment plan?
6.How and at what cost can I find out who I owe money to and do they then report back to the agencies that I have enquired about my credit history. I am scared to go to Equifax as they require ID and I don't want everyone knowing where I live as it is not my home I live with someone. I also don't have a driver's licence what kind of ID do I need to ask for my credit report and is it free.
7. If I send them a small amount to begin repayment and they cash it (per money order) cheque does that mean they have accepted the amount I will send on a regular basis?
8. The last person that talked with me before the court order ws the same lady that called me ther other day. Do they use their correct name on the telephone or is it a general name.
If you have any of the answers I am looking for pease let me know as soon as possible as I lost the number they left with my boss, it ws left on a 2x2 piece of scrape paper I am scared to breath and don't want to be threatened this lst lady told me she was going to tell my boss about the money that I owed and if it is the same lady i wouldn't put it past her from doing it, is that illegal?
