Wait a second ---- the collector did offer to provide the license number, however I went further to push and push for written proof, to which she took my home fax number down and stated she would send it to me.

Asking for a collector's license is POINTLESS. They are NOT obligated to send you any PROOF that they are licensed. They ARE obligated to give you their license number, that is all. If you want to stall for time by demanding for proof, good luck -- because the collector does not have to provide it. Call the ministry office, and provide their name -- they will tell you if they are an active collector or not.

Monty, I haven't had the time to watch your seminar, but if that is the first thing you are suggesting, then you are not helping anyone.

ARO - asking for a license to collect

Postby gns1972 » Fri Mar 07, 2008 05:11:36 PM

I think I pushed one of their manager's over the edge when I asked her for proof of her license to collect in Ontario. It's been less than 24 hours and I have yet to receive proof of her license.

I think she lost her mind when I asked. She really backed down and had nothing to say.

THANK YOU MONTY -- Your internet seminar and advice works!
