As I've mentioned, my dad had a stroke this week. Living in Canada we're pretty lucky to have a great health system. I believe my dad will be in the hospital for at least a month based on his current condition. All of that is covered financially by the province.
I guess I should be concerned about his recovery though. I don't believe my dad has health insurance. As far as rehabilitations costs I'm not sure how he's going to do.
I must say, this really isn't the time to talk about getting health insurance. My dad was never for life insurance. I'm sure he doesn't have health insurance.
He's got his pensions in place and some savings, so I hope that he and my step mother are well covered. This could be devastating financially if he isn't covered!!
If what I'm seeing is correct, he's going to need ALOT of personal care while he's recovering. Personal care isn't cheap that's for sure.
