I have more questions.. if you are willing to answer them.

1) How long does an agency hold on to an account?

2) How is the information in a file kept? Is there a hard file or is it all put on computer?

3) Have you ever actually sued anyone and was sucessful?

4) How do you live with yourself ? hahaha

5) Are you assigned a particular number of clients or does the company share clients?

6) How do you determine how often to call a client? Does this depend on age of the debt? what are some factors?

7) I understand you make a salary, what is the percent of commission you make?

Thats all.

If y'all actually get training in the act and what you are and are not allowed to do... well, the average collection agent's behaviour just got more reprehensible.

sad

wonder why everyone doesn't go to be collectors if it's as good as you said. Maybe you need a PhD or MD for that?

kids: daddy, my school has career day tomorrow and every one of my friends is bringing their parents in to talk about what they do. Will you go with me, daddy?

i always wonder how these collectors answer this question

Oh, there is so much more than just the cubicle and headset. The $1500 commission cheques on top of hefty salary is very accommodating.

And BTW, answering questions with questions is a specialty. As far as your remarks, I'm not stupid enough to give out information about where I work.

As far as your questions, you are right about different companies different policies ---------- I work for one of the most successful agencies in Canada. We go after our targets hard and enjoy the extra muula at the end of the month. As far as experience goes, I'm working for my second agency.

As far as my training, I learned the 'act' and the things I was not allowed to do. My agencies training sucked, but I learned along the way to be where I am now. And where I am now is answered above, in collecting lots of muula.

And if your interested, I'm 21.

Sure .. answer a question with a question.
I dont see the big deal, I mean its not like we are going to call you 10x a day, fill up your answering machine, torment you, send you nasty threating letters, call you names, make idle threats, lie, scream or harrass you, ....Kinda like you do all day.

Reasons:
1) Just curious because different companies have different policies and ways they go about collecting.

2) As for asking how long you have been doing your JOB? Just wondering how experienced you are.

If you dont want to answer its no big deal however I'm also curious to what the prerequistes for being a "collection agent"?

What kind of training do you have to go through? (No im not interested in a job as a collector...)

Please give us some insight into the sad but mysterious world of your cubicle and headset.

Seeing that you have nothing to hide. What company do you work for?
How long have you worked there?
