hi souljah,

im also one of the moderators for this website. me and jeankarla are trying to check on the members of this site on the progress of problems raised or any concerns posted.

in your case, we are checking on your credit card application with ScotiaBank. based on your latest post, you haven't applied yet but plans to visit the bank personally. that would be a good idea for the reason that you can raise all your questions about the credit card and its benefits or other inquires you have. you can also make sure that the application process is going to happen rather than wait and found out that no application was made.

we would appreciate your update regarding this. thank you.
if you have other problems or concerns about credit cards or personal finance then make a post and tell us about it.

I haven't applied for a secured CC with scotia yet.

I have emailed their customer service dept., and they advised me that I'd have to go into my home branch and do an application in person.

I'll keep you updated if or when I do that.

hello there souljah,

it has been 8 months now from your last post concerning about applying for a Secured Scotiabank Visa. are you holding that particular card now? did you learn the right process in going through the card application?

please update us with your current status. we want to know if you had successfully applied and got an approved application from Scotiabank.

let us hear from you. we will always be here to serve and guide you.

Read my post here

Their secured cards are meant for New Immigrants, not typically for Rebuilding Credit History

I thought it was 110% when I asked, 120% is close enough. The process is easy and at least you know you will get your deposit back within two years, unlike capital one.

You need to do it at the branch in person and they require 120% security deposit. That is all I know.
