OK today I got not one but three idential letters from rbc collections stating that now they want my line of credit and credit card paid in full or 10 days to call back and make arrangements to pay them 985.00 outstanding on these two loans. OK they have both been paid up to date for the monthly payments and I fail to see how three final notices can come for the same thing when I never heard from them before. My local bank now did send me two registered letters stating that our relationship is over and to make payments and on and on. You see this is a business account but really the relationship broke down when i paid out my personal mortgage. Gee our relationship was great until then and now they dont want me anymore and are threateing to ruin my life. Number one it seems that the local branch in new brunswick and the main office in ontario are not speaking. Perhaps the main office wants to know why I left and took the mortgage elsewhere because now they are loosing their interest. Funny how a relationship can go so bad then they are not making any money. Anyway I call the lawyer tonight that handled the payout and explained that I guess RBC wants to take my small business now the river. He did state that when they had made arrangements with the bank to pay out the mortgage and then they had released the property they had contacted the lawyer and said opps they had a made a mistake but too late they had released it so now they have not security on the line of credit. Now I sent them payments which they did not process so I guess best bet is to go right to the branch and deposit the payments on the line of credit. They have blocked all access to me seeing any payments that I have made. Now tell me is it right that they not process the payments I sent. I wanted it in checks for a paper trail. And on and on goes the story. Why cant they just let me pay out the line of credit instead of trying to ruin my credit and everything else. Are they that bitter.

I have a question for all of you members. Have you ever heard of the royal bank changing dates on transactions so they can nsf other items to their advantage. Do you know that the royal bank runs on a different clock and calender than the rest if the world. Have any of you people had issues that are driving you crazy that this bank has done to you. Do you think that because I paid out my mortgage the bank has the right to tell me that they are shutting all my business accounts down also and I BETTER find some money to pay out my line of credit or they will send it to collections. Help me please. I know that there are people out there that are having this happen.

Dear Editor,

Recently I posted signs up all over Nova Scotia condemning a large financial institution. The signs state "$100,000 Mistake on Fishermen's Loan". The public issue over this loan mistake rests solely with the investigation process done by the banking industry. The first investigation was done by the Ombudsman for this financial institution in question. The Ombudsman sided for the bank. The next step was the OBSI, (Ombudsman for Banking Services and Investments) which is the last level in Canada for complaints against any financial institution. They also agreed with the lower decision. The first investigation was processed by a person paid by the bank in question and the OBSI are funded by all the chartered banks across Canada. Any investigation done for a client of a bank should be resolved by an independent arms length board funded by the government to ensure proper transparency and fairness. I came to the conclusion that not only did this financial institution fail me but the whole investigation into this Fishermen's loan conferred absolute bias. This financial giant arbitrarily destroyed my business and credit without properly giving me due process. I will fight this Corporate Bully publicly with steadfast resolve until I receive a fair investigation. I speak for all concerned clients of the Canadian banking system because when loan mistakes happen they will also face this similar injustice manufactured to benefit the banking establishment.
