One of the things that worries me are the NO MEDICAL life insurance ads on TV that say..." you don't require a medical" ... that can't be good...
And I've heard from my life insurance rep that if there is any issue with your health at the time you apply, you could be rejected for payment of the benefits if you die due to one of these illnesses...

How does no medical life insurance apply with regards to doing your research?

You should know about your health record and the names and numbers of doctors who have treated you, including the date and purpose for your last visit to your doctor.

What To Do Before Your Life Insurance Medical Test?

Postby Aalton100 » Thu Dec 15, 2011 04:15:25 AM

Hi everyone,

I´d like to say again very important information for you. Probably, each one of you know some medical tests. Only for short memorizing, these medical tests can include blood pressure checkups, blood profile tests, urine specimens or ecocardiograms. More details: http://lsminsurance.ca/life-insurance-canada/2011/12/what-to-do-before-your-life-insurance-medical-test

Let´s go to main points:
1. Write down all significant illnesses, as well as the dates you had them.

2.Write down if you have a family history of cancer, heart attack, angina, bypass surgery, stroke....

3. Bring a list of all current medications that you're taking.

4. Have your photo ID handy.

5. If you need an oversized blood pressure cuff, be sure to let the nurse know this in advance. Large-scale cuffs are usually needed for individuals who have a heavy build and / or have very large upper arms.

6. Avoid alcohol the day of the examination and limit the amount of caffeine.

7. Avoid heavy exercises, especially contact sports, prior to your test. It's best if you allow a gap of at least 24 hours.

8. If you're pregnant, inform the examiner, as this will help the underwriter to better interpret the laboratory results.

9. If you are in significant pain (a severe tooth ache, migraine), are suffering from a viral illness, or have a fever,...

10. Drink lots of water prior to your exam to facilitate the urine sample and for an easier blood draw.
