If you have a credit score of 674, you should get accepted by capital one without a security deposit.

hello,
if you want to develop your credit rating, you should apply for a capital one secured card.... if your credit score is 674... i'm not sure if you'll be accepted for a low interest card.. you need good credit for low interest..

my advice would be, if you have some spare cash hanging around, get a couple of secured cards... and then make your payments regularly for 6 months

MBNA Gold Mastercard

Postby nickt3000 » Wed Sep 28, 2011 04:02:21 PM

Hey,

I just applied via phone for a MBNA mastercard. I'm a full-time student and work approx. 30 hours a week for an annual income of around 15,000. I want to finance a computer, but the company I'm going through has extremely high interest rates and the 9.99% that this card offers is a much better deal. I have a 500 limit TD Visa and have applied to PC Mastercard as well. I don't have a lot of experience dealing with credit cards, any comments on this?

I have a 674 Equifax score and a credit history about 3 years old. No collections, and 2 over-30 day payments from 2009. Will what I'm doing establish credit for me?
