I recently had my vehicle repossessed yet I did not know it was repossessed? I reported it stolen and the police have no record of the car being repossesed and entered an incident for my vehicle.

Is the repossession company mandated to report the vehicle seizure?
Now I have a claim in with my insurance what do I do?
I did not receive any letters as the bank did not update my address when I had notified them months earlier...payments stopped coming out of my account....when I was able to get through to someone as my car was repossessed over the long weekend that was when I was notified told of the seizure
